looking to major electrical enginerring or some kind of engineering or maybe business or maybe even double major ..

uhhm... that's prety much all that i can think of right now, if you guys could help me out, thanks!

oh yeah, if you know me ( i go to ahs) then... wasup hahah

aiite thats about it if you guys could give me some advice and my chances at those schools as of now that would be cool

thanks

you have a good a chance as any..especially since you are a California resident..

there aren't any recs for UCs
your stats look good enough for all the UCs. my sat 1 was a little lower than yours and my gpa was a little higher but pretty much the same, and i got into all the UCs that I applied to (Cal LA SD I. didn't apply to more cuz that would've cost me more $$ haha).

umm i sorta agree with them

match cal and ucla
sd , safe

i usually help students predict their chances, so
can you PM your phone # so i could hit you up ;)

Your chances at Berkeley are impaired by your weak ECs, so I'd say slight reach. Also, your GPA is calculated based on the five core courses only (English, math, history, science, language).

collegeboardsuck: if Berkeley and UCLA are matches (which I don't agree they are), then UCSD isn't a safety. It'd be closer to a safe match. In the OP's case, I think UCSD is a match.

You have to take the school and implicit rank into consideration. I'd say match for Cal and UCLA. I want to say accepted at both, but there are always anomalies...

Arcadia + 2180 SAT + 800/780 SAT II + 4.23 UC GPA = above UCSD's averages in all areas.

kyledavid80:
you want beef? meet me in the kitchen and ill cook!
i dont want to say anything, but i have a feeling you a member of collegeboard
and you know how we all feel about them

^^ lol

I'm here to help students, not lead them to rejection.

(Oops, sounding like the collegeboard again.)

Hm. I'm from Arcadia and I don't know who you are...lol.

Since you're not in AP English and are in AP Calc BC, that rules out quite a bit of people I thought of. Physics C? I'm in Physics C too!

But anyway, I was wondering as well. Does the fact that you're from Arcadia HS help in any way (not just UCs, but in general)?

Based on your GPA/SATs, you look like a match. Bring up the verbal on the SAT. I wish my GPA was as high as yours. Damned Freshman year brought me down.

don't apply to berkeley as an engineering/business major. it's much much harder.
if you apply undeclared, i would say you have fairly good chances at cal and ucla... my advice to you is... write good essays.

if i were you, i would take the SAT one more time in your senior year. see if you can get about 2250. because you will probably apply to privates (well, you should) and you still have time to prepare.
