Chances at USC, NYU, Michigan, Wake for '07

I'm a junior now, wondering about chances for the following schools: USC, NYU, Michigan, Wake, Wisconsin, and Richmond. I scored 31 on my ACT's, am in the top 15% of class at a very competitive school, have loads of varsity sports and work experience. My only downside is that I have approx. 5 hours of community service. I would be applying as a finance major to all but USC, where I would have to go for biz admin with a concentration in finance. Any thoughts?

What is your GPA? please list your EC's

from this I can tell that you have a good shot at all your schools, but your GPA should be pretty close to 3.7-4.0 range.

Act is very solid, though a 33+ would be best ;]

Ok I have 3.8 unweighted GPA, extracurrics are varsity hockey 4 years and varsity lacrosse 4 years. President of school's finance club, only for this year. Abysmal Community service record. Worked at golf course in the summer and for a construction company in fall to spring since 8th grade. I'm pretty sure that's it, any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Class rank? Get more EC's, show you have more depth...

hope you get into NYU.. It's an awesome school, my first pick safety

you have commitment when it comes to sport, so I suggest overplaying and slightly Bull shizing on your essay. Like how you've grown and how sport in conjuction with sometihng else meaningful has made a difference in your life.

3.8 UW GPA is an excellent GPA! if you get a 33 on your ACT and overplay your EC's I say you have a very very good chance at these schools. A VERY GOOD CHANCE, mind you.

not safeties, but good matches. no REAL reaches, so good luck :]
