I’m just a bit confused and insecure about my position right now because as much as colleges promise a “holistic review”, isn’t the GPA what they look at first to give your application a chance to be reviewed holistically? Or are things different since this is more of a creative major and say, my math or physics scores aren’t going to bother them? </p>
<p>Will having a 2000 sat score save you (combined with ECs, recs and all that) even if you have a bad GPA? Because the people around me make a bad GPA look like the end of the world even if you did all the other requirements right haha O.o</p>
<p>Do you suggest I e-mail the admissions department of UTAustin itself to ask them about their GPA requirements and if I could submit a portfolio when applying for an advertising major?</p>
