Hi! As I’ve been finishing up my application for the Cockrell School of Engineering, I’ve started to worry about whether or not I will get accepted (it’s my top choice). I am applying to be an Aerospace Engineering major, if that makes any difference.
I am a Texas resident (always have been)
I scored a 2030 on the SAT (1370 combined reading and math)
A 33 on the ACT (35 writing, 34 math, 30 reading, 33 science)
I am currently ranked 29 out of 542 at a 6A high school (all A’s as of my second semester junior year)
AP Classes: Human Geo. (4), World History (5), U.S. History (4), English Lang. (5), Chemistry (4), and Physics 1 (5).
I am currently taking AP Physics C: Mechanics, Calculus AB, Government/Microeconomics, and English Lit.
Extracurricular stuff: I’m in band (section leader junior year, brass captain this year), NHS, and a member of my school’s Science Olympiad team. I also do a lot of volunteer work every year in organizations such as Reach, Generation One, etc.
That’s about all I could think of at the moment of writing this, so what do you think? What are my chances for Aerospace at the Cockrell School of Engineering? Any input is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance!
