Chances at UT

<p>Sorry to tell you, but UT’s admission formula does not allow them to reward you much for going to a “hard” high school.</p>

<p>You can get .1 added to your “Projected GPA” if you took a hard course load. That’s it.</p>

<p>They actually award you MORE for going to a high school from a lower socioeconomic background than the traditional “best schools.”</p>

<p>Sorry. But you really just get hurt. People from these schools do tend to have some of the best SAT scores, best preparedness for their essays, and good ECs, and these help them. But they get no credit in particular for attending a “great school.”</p>
