Chances at UVa and W&M

Hi Group, I would like to have your advice about my chances at UVa and W&M…

In-state transfer student from a community college in Southern Virginia.

Completed 44 credits with 3.846 and 3.7 from another institution.

Not really involved in activities since I am working part-time and struggling with 17 credits per semester.

An Asian female immigrant who became a U.S resident since march 2004.

Oh, my SAT killed me (660/M, 520/V) ,because I decided to apply to UVa last minute so that I was not well-prepared especially I just came to the States.

Runner-up of national debating contest in H.S ,Taiwan

A section Leader in the debating club in my H.S

Studying Czech language at age of 17 in Prague, Czech Republic for two years.

however, I haven’t seen my H.S transcript being posted on the UVA website since they posed my college transcripts already…I didnt do well in H.S( less than 3.0) but it was the third best high school in the nation ( Taiwan). I wonder if this would hurt my stat?

alright, thanks guys, and I am looking forward to your reply!!

The percentage of Asians accepted to UVa is pretty high from what I understand. Hopefully, they won't put a whole lot of weight on the HS gpa and SAT scores. Mine weren't great either. Your CC gpa is good, though. And, you're in-state, so I think unless you had a horrible essay, you've got a great shot. Of course, a few more current EC's would have been nice. I'm not as familiar with W&M.
