<p>your gpa will kill u... u will probably get into gmu and CN, i dont know anything about uncw, tech is a little tougher, may get in, jmu EA is a popular choice this year at my school, it may be competitive... and uva is definately a reach. get All A's this semester and bring up your GPA for when the midyear reports are sent out and you will have a better chance. i dont think uva puts too much weight on legacies... but i am not sure about it. it may help for borderlines...</p>
<p>What school, what level A, AA, AAA for baseball, my team was AA Region II champions last year, state semis.. lost to nottaway =( --- 17-6 for the year</p>
<p>You could get deferred from JMU EA but I'm confident you'll get in RD if you stay above a 3.0. Like the other person said, JMU EA is popular these days. You should get into GMU and CNU easily enough, those should be your safety schools. Unless you write the greatest essays on earth I don't see you getting into UVA. For UVA, unless you're a recruited athlete you need to be in the top 10% of your class. SAT score should ideally be above 1200 but UVA can look the other way if you have other things going for you. You are borderline for Virginia Tech but I'd say you have at least a 50% chance. The main strike against you is your GPA. I think the AP classes and activities will offset that but don't bother writing an essay because it's not going to be read.</p>
<p>What's up dude? On some posts, you claim you have a 3.5 GPA and a 1350 SAT. Most recently though, you say you have a 3.0 and an 1170. What gives? Glad that you got in Christopher Newport with rolling admissions, JR. Good deal. Just tell the straight scoop, no embellishment.</p>

<p>Actually, legacies only matter a lot for out of state students. They are considered in-state, if you are already in-state legacy matters very little</p>
<p>Remember how strong the honor system and code are at UVA, you may want to think about that. Don't be ashamed of your GPA and your SAT scores........Parents pressuring you? JMU-maybe.............your stats are a bit low, but you did take 6 AP's and have good EC's
Virginia Tech-again a maybe, but you have a better chance at JMU (remember the boy/girl ratios)

<p>University of Mary Washington is one of VA's best kept secrets, great school---because of their predominance of females, you would have a great shot. </p>
