He means that you join clubs just as resume padders. And why are you even asking for chances? Use some common sense and you can guess your own chances with those stats.

ArKhAiK- why are others asking for chances? its the same thing. tell everyone here who’s asking about chances to use their common sense. All i asked was some feedback no need to be so negative. And i am not just joining all these clubs because it is padding my resume, I actually am interested which is why for most of these clubs, I dedicated all my four years to it.

Erin’s Dad- I’m applying for financial aid so I will come out with loans.

performersmom- you can upload a separate document (can be your resume or a description of a important extracurricular) I’m currently in the process of weeding out some stuff.

You are a strong applicant, but would benefit immensely from raising your SAT’s. What is your SAT break down? How many times have you taken it? Perhaps try the ACT?

my sat breakdown is Cr-660 Math-670 Writing-660
i have taken it twice- both times the scores did not differ very signifcantly, i am plannign on retaking it in october

I did take the ACT last weekend, but i doubt I got the score i want since with my senior classes/ summer internship, I did not have much time.

As it stands, your SATs are a bit low (though perhaps killers) for most of those schools. However, with a 1900, the may be ‘reaches’.

Otherwise, it’s kind of hard to evaluate when there’s a mismatch between grades and SATs such as yours. It would be easier to do so once you get your final SAT or ACT.

For UVA, the 25th-75th percentile SAT Scores (CR+M) are 1220-1450. For UNC, it’s 1200-1400. So a 2090 likely move you to the upper range of scores for accepted students for either.

The USNWR rankings for 2011-12 came out yesterday. For the next couple of days, you can sign up and get full access to the survey without paying. I know the information is there for all the schools you’re looking at.
