Hello, I will be entering my junior year of high school this fall. I am also attending a cc in order to receive my associates degree before I graduate from high school. I have a 4.056 gpa, have a letter in academics, indoor track, and lacrosse, am in the sca, nhs, iT specialty program and am on group staff for our AFJROTC unit at our school. I also belly dance and am an assistant cheerleading coach for a volunteer youth league. I would like to be a plastic surgeon when Im older so that is why Im accelerating my education. So I guess I would like to know what my chances would be for UVA and if I have any chance for John Hopkins and the University of Pennsylvania. Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds pretty good! Make sure you’re taking rigorous classes like AP or IB! Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1534659-chances-rising-junior.html

Wouldn’t getting an associates’ degree qualify you for transfer status?

UVA: Aim for 31+/2100+
JHU: Reach
UPenn: Reach

It’s kind of hard to tell with no test scores but your gpa and extra curriculars look solid. If you’re instate, I know a good many people that have gotten into UVA with scores around 1820+ (some even lower), and with 28’s on the ACT. With Hopkins and Penn you’ve got nice extra’s but a higher gpa is needed and try taking the toughest classes you can!
