Hey
I’m an international student from Australia, I was wondering what my chances would be at these schools:
- UVA
- Boston College
- Syracuse
- University of Maryland - College Park
- Villanova
- NYU
- University of Rochester
GPA: 3.7-3.8
SAT: 1900
Expected ATAR (Australian ranking system): 97 meaning I’m in the top 3%
Mostly straight a’s occasional b’s, doing economics, politics and law, religion (required by my high school),literature and hardest maths.
ECs
- babysitting
- tutoring and mentoring
- mock trials - 2 years (captain in last year)
- debate
- young mercies (service group)
- Giving soup to homeless
- social justice group (president)
- summer job at finance company
- chess club
- volunteering at mercy care child care and also at my local water polo club; coaching and reffing
- 6 years of water polo out of school: 4 national competitions, 1 pan pacific competition, 1 Europe training camp
- 5 years of water for school - a grade and honours
- 1 year of tennis
- achievers club for 3 years
-Extraordinary minister of Holy Communion (service for the church)
I was also accepted into the national youth science forum which is sponsored by rotary club and was chosen out of the 300 students to give the address. They said I was chosen because of my inter personal skills and demeanour.
My recs would also be very good.
I don’t need to apply for financial aid, I don’t know if that improves my chances.
Thanks
