Good grades and good SAT scores. Your extracurricular activities are solid, your stand-out ones being the NHS treasurer, and the co-founder of the investment club.

I would say a definite for UVA, UNC, and Washington University. (or do you mean University of Washington? Washington U is in St. Louis)

Cornell and UMichigan are harder to get into.

I think Michigan is a pretty good match. The others will be a stretch. Least likely would be UVA and Cornell.
Try to improve your SAT.
Right now you are a clear-cut math and science applicant. While its good to have some kind of career path laid out when applying to colleges, I think this one-sidedness could hurt you. My advice would be to get a 730+ on a Reading or Writing SAT II. This will make you look more diverse and will offset, to some degree, your lower scores in Reading and Writing for SAT I.

im thinking in doing something in business. but im not sure if business programs are looking for better math scores or general all aroundness(for lack of a better word)

I agree with burchmatt. Your SAT is kind of low for Ivy league and WASHU. Definitely submit your ACT. The only thing I dont see is how you are a science and math applicant. If that is your angle, how are you going to show it? SAT2 scores are not enough by any means. Lab research, internships, summer camps, olympiads, science fairs? This is what would get you in to WASHU. WASHU prides itself on the strong research and science background of its students, and they are a tougher school to get accepted to than you might think. One-sidedness does hurt, but from what you’ve written, I dont see a side because the only thing science related is the SAT2s.

And, your standout activity being NHS treasurer? Oh, boy…

For an ‘upper class white guy’ in New York there has to have been more opportunities. I say WASHU is a no along with Cornell.

Figure out what makes you unique and your essay could get you in, but highly unlikely.

You say you are interested in business. Business schools look for good grades, good overall test scores, and leadership and communication skills. Since you are the founder of a club and treasurer of NHS, leadership should not be a huge issue. I think you should find an extracurricular activity that highlights communication skill. Maybe debate?
