<p>Hi I would like some opinions about my chances at these schools, Im from PA so I'm an out of state student for most of them. The schools are:
UVA
UNC
UMICH
UPENN
TUFTS</p>

ACT: 31 but superscored it's a 32</p>

weighted: 4.81</p>

competitive cheer for school

Field hockey freshman year
Class committee
Volunteered at Upenn hospital as a team leader (head of teenage volunteers)
Community service 50+ hours
Part time job as a buser and a nanny
Placed 2nd in two regional science competitions
Placed 3rd in national spanish exam
Received a special award for local science competition
Tutor in chemistry</p>

<p>Pretty much agree with Catria. If for UMich CoE, it may be a low reach.</p>

<p>I disagree with UVA. Lately UVA has become haven for IVY hopefuls. Either as a safety or as a last resort. I think it is reach.</p>

<p>UVA: Low reach, your SATIIs and ACTs might be just “average” in the applicant field
UNC: depends where…if its chapell hill, then high Match
UMICH: high match
UPENN: High reach
TUFTS: reach</p>

<p>ACT at 31 is slightly above average for UVA admission. It should be a high match.</p>

<p>might look at Holy Cross-top25 LAC that is SAT optional. HC offers good blend of academics and sports.</p>
