I’m applying early action to UVA next year and RD to VT.

bumppppp

I don’t know too much about VA universities, but you application is really strong! You have good test scores already and your ECs reflect your interest in the field you want to study.I think your chances are good at both!

Hey! You’ll get into UVA… Your resume is quite impressive and your test scores are above average for sure. I have a very good friend that just got in early and she’s 2nd in her class but you EC and test scores are better than hers (I believe). Really recommend going to the UVA coding competition. It is next month I think and my school is going (I am not) and I think its a great opportunity for you to look at campus (again if you already have) and get a feel for it. Also, you can probably take a look at CS programs and talk to CS students who are observing or even judging. Would totally recommend!

You also show really good specialization into your desired major which is great! I don’t know much about UVA CS and if its competitive for each respective school but from what I have seen at my school, your profile is really fitting for the school. Who knows, we might go there together

For VT, a bunch of my friends also got in there. You should be a competitive fit for the school. You should get into both schools with ease. You honestly could get some Merit money as well (idk how merit works at these schools tbh).
Good luck and thanks for chancing me earlier!!

Oh btw, as NoVa kids are, we are in a high income bracket so financial aid may be tough. Make sure your parents are saving asap because even with in-state tuition, it will be a decent amount so just be prepared and you could probably pay your way through by the end of your 4th year. Also, I really like the sound of your CS work for your Non-Profit. If you guys are looking for people to join, I would definitely be happy to join and help out (I am only in intro but I know my way around decently).

Good luck with the rest of your year!

We have similar stats… I, however, am from NC and still got into UVa. So ya, you are fine…
Although, I had a 800 chemistry and 780 math2… with supp. drawings

You’re a perfect match for UVA and VT, more extracurriculars could help but I think you’re pretty set for both of these schools! However, nothing is for certain, I know plenty of people who had 4.0 gpas and 2200 sats at my school who got deferred from UVA and VT Engineering, although over 200 people from my school applied so that is probably why they were deferred.
