Chances at UVA's (McIntyre), UCLA, UMich?...

Reposted Posted from my other thread...

What are my chances at UVA's Undergrad Business Program?
How about UCLA's Biz-Econ program?
How about Ross (Michigan)?

I need one/two more school to apply to (others are USC, NYU, Emory, Georgetown) and I will pick from these three.

My top choice of these three is UVa, but I am not sure of my chances...
Thanks.

Stats:
-Out of State
-White Male
-Sophmore at UMass Amherst - 45 credits (44 graded)
- Member of Commonwealth College (Honors College)
-3.91 GPA (last 2 semesters were 4.0, I've gotten all A's except for one B- in Calculus). Will take 15-18 credits this semester.
- Taking 15 credits this semester with some pretty hard classes.
- Business major (leaning toward finance or management)
- I think I can get 2 good recs and I can write some good essays.

ECs
-Member of Finance Society, Investment Club and Business Schools Honor Council (with possible leadership position) groups.
-Work as tutor, intramural sports official about 10 hours per week.
-Volunteer work in orphanages in Nicaragua during summers.
- Sponsor and correspond with impoverished child from Tanzania, Africa.

H.S. Stats - I was an underachiever and never really tried.
- 3.5 GPA weighted
- 1180 SAT old - I know this will probably hurt, but I feel I've proved I can do college work. I will not retake anything.

Please be honest about my chances at these three schools. Thanks.

I think you've got a great shot at all of them. Even with a slightly low HS GPA (for UVa OOS, definently), with two years of college under your belt it wont matter much. With great essays/recs, I'd say you're in. UCLA is a bit harder due to OOS, but again, you're in the top of the OOS pool. UMich, in i'd say, due to 2 years of college work.

PS - I would advise you to check up on spelling. Its McIntire, with an i. Definently don't mess that up in your essays =P

i tihnk you should pick USC,
btw, did you finish UVAs recs? Emory business has a huuuuuuge Recommended course list
beside that, i think based on your GPA, you got good chance, but UVA is ranked #2, so it's gonna be hard
While Umich is ranked lower than UVA, it's admissions might actually be tougher than UVA, so is gtown. all 3 are very difficult
i think your best chance is at USC, and 70% at UVA
not familiar w/ UCLA's business, however, why don't u apply to UCB for the hell of it? no jokes, you'd never know :D

Thanks...

Just to clarify, My USC app. is in, and I am in the process of applying to NYU, Georgetown and Emory. I like USC as well, but I may not be able to afford it. I spoke with G'town and Emory and both liked my chances and said I could get some money... who knows. The reason I added UVA, UCLA, and UMich is because they are state schools, highly regarded, and much more affordable. I will probably send in an app. to UVa (and yea, it looks like I pretty much meet the recommended completed course lists) and if I have time to one of the others.

Anyone else have any comments, experiences with these programs?

ummm
while UVA is a state school, i remember reading on McIntire's website that instate, intl. and out of state pay the same fees

ucla is definately not a match for you, its a reach.

I hear transferring into Ross out of state is damn near impossible. 95% of spots go to existing UMich students, and the others go to kids from in-state schools. It's gonna be a grind for sure.
