Hey, folks. I've been on this site for ten minutes and am already daunted by how qualified some of you guys are. Congratulations - all of you! :D

Here are my (mediocre, lol) stats:

SAT I: 670 CR, 590 M, 640 W
SAT II: 730 USH
AP Exams: 4 USH (Eng. L&C, Eng. Lit, and Euro to be taken in May)
GPA: 3.5/4 (W)
Fancy Classes: Honors (Chem, Bio), AP (USH, Euro, Eng12)
Rank: 216/750 (28%)

ECs: Volleyball and softball (9, 10; school/AAU), literary magazine (all; contributor and editor), Latin club (all; VP 12), drama crew (11), work (all - except winters; paid)

Other:
- My Latin teacher wrote me a hellagood rec.
- My essay is so-so. I wrote it the day before the deadline, but I do that for all my essays (I sail through AP English). It may hurt me, but I'm very confident in my writing skills.
- I'm a white (25% Korean, which I noted, but I don't think it matters) female from New Hampshire - lived in the same house my whole life.
- I noted in my app how my family is absolute priority in my life. While my parents do realize the importance of grades, they don't understand the college process, ECs, or community service. I had to quit sports once I got my license so I could drive around my younger siblings, go to work, do chores, homework, etc., and this hurt a lot of my ECs.
- No community service to speak of.
- I have a 0 EFC (according to the FAFSA). I know many say that colleges don't consider this, but nobody is going to accept a girl whose profile is average and give her 30K/yr while some kid from the same economic background has five times the stats.
- I applied RD to UVM, UNH, UMass Amherst; rolling to Keene St. (NH).
- I only visited UVM. My parents told me tough ***** for the rest and to take a "virtual tour", lol.
- I'm first generation. Nobody in my family has done anything past high school (except my uncle, who went to night school for plumbing). Does it count if my mom went to NHTI, but dropped out? I'm curious about that.
- Should I get in without sufficient financial aid, I'm going to look towards the Army/Coast Guard Reserves. Should I not get in anywhere - period, I'll join. :D
- I'm looking into English secondary education.

I know that UVM is a stretch (maybe UMass Amherst, too), but UNH is my target. I'm looking at a Keene for a safety. If you guys could chance me, that'd be amazing. Don't be afraid to tell me like it is, for I live among cynical satirists and am therefore immune to caustic words, haha. My mom says not to get my hopes up about anything :P. I'd chance you back, but I know very little about the college acceptance process.

Thanks!
