I'm pretty sure I am into UW, but just wanted to know what about the others? What do I need on my SATIIs to have a good shot at UCSD and even a slight chance at Berkeley. Or any comments... other schools I should look into with my grades and scores? THANKS! :D

SAT's going to hurt your chances :(
Try to get in the high 700s for math, since you're trying out for CompSci and raising the Math score's pretty simple
I think you have a pretty good chance at all colleges (UC Berkeley's hard to predict), but your SAT score is really hurting you

berkeley:
-need a average of 730 on SAT IIs
-unweighted GPA? should be around 4.15
-SATs will hurt. average is 1340 for in-state students. you should get above 1400. Also, if you want to major in science/engineering of any sort, i suggest 1450+
overall:
reach-25% chance because out-of-state

san diego:
-GPA is good
-SATs are fine
-average of around 690 on SAT IIs
chance: match (50% chance)

no idea about UW...

how can I get a 4.15 unweighted. In WA the highest you can get is 4.0 even with AP classes and all that. Is Irvine easier to get into for me than SD?

bump :o

And if/when anyone responds. Are there any other comp eng. colleges I should take a look at with my scores?

your SAT's are fine for UW cause your GPA is so good. If you write a fairly good essay you will get in no problem

I got my SAT II scores. Rather low...
MATH IIC 610
WRITING 560
USHIST 580

How bad are my chances now at the UCs ^_^

to b honest, it's looking pretty grim. SAT 2's are considered more important thatn SAT's fr the UC schools. apply anyways though, who knows?

Yeah I still applied, deadline alrady passed :P
Which UCs are the "easy" schools :o Or in other words, what is california's public university version of washington's WSU. :)

You might get into the lower UCs like Riverside or Merced. You should have applied to the CSUs, also. I'm not sure about when their's are due, but Cal Poly was due on Nov 30.

Sleepisbliss:
This is Berkeley's academic profile for all, including out of staters i believe, admits taken off of the UC site...
High School GPA: 4.15
SAT I Score: 1340
SAT II Math (1C and 2C) Score: 690
SAT II Writing Score: 669

So Dopke, I think Berkeley's a far reach since you're an out of stater, too.

Maybe..just maybe..I can see you next year in Berkeley!! The only problem being...I am not a girl, sorry

lol, funny funny.

UC's a pretty hard to get into, esp if you're in WA. If you were in CA with those STATs, you have a good chance. Getting into UC's out of state is like getting into Harvard! (Well, maybe not that hard, but still.)

Really raise your SAT scores and SAT II's. 700+ on all tests.

Good luck!!!
