Chances at various law schools

Could you tell me what my friend's chances are at Law School? He's a senior at George Washington, and is applying to:

George Washington University(really wants to go here)
The University of North Carolina
Georgia State University
University of Georgia
Emory University
Washington and Lee University
Wake Forest University

His stats:

3.51 GPA as a Finance major.
LSAT is a 160 and 162. He took it twice, so they will average out to be a 161.
Pretty involved. Done some internships with a newspaper and is now interning for IBM in DC.

What's his chances at these law schools?

Put your friend's stats into this site:

<a href="http://officialguide.lsac.org/search/cgi-bin/lsatgpa.asp%5B/url%5D">http://officialguide.lsac.org/search/cgi-bin/lsatgpa.asp</a></p>

(It may not take you directly to the right page, if it doesn't use the choice which allows you to search schools with your stats.)

Remember though that if your friend is just applying now for next fall, his chances will be lower. Generally, the earlier you apply, the better.

Trying it myself, the odds calculator showed me that for the fall of 2003, George Washington Law School admitted between 20 and 40% of applicants with these numbers. That tells you that he has a chance, and perhaps a better chance because it's the same school he attended as an undergrad, but it's still probable (s)he'll be rejected.

Update:

Accepted: Georgia State University, Wake Forest
Waitlisted: UNC
Rejected: George Washington
