Major strength/weakness: strong essay, high grades, top decile. but don’t know if I took enough APs or if test scores are high enough.

Let me know!!! I appreciate any feedback I can get!

I think you definitely took enough APs. ACT is a little low considering their range 30-34. Also, they do not superscore, so 31 would be the score they consider. GPA is strong. Extracurriculars are solid but won’t stand out too much. Overall, I think you have a pretty good shot but it’s still a reach. Maybe you can PM me your essays, so I can gauge it a bit better? Please chance me back:

Same ACT as me :stuck_out_tongue: I think you should get pretty easily. I applied Early Action for CS/Pre-law.

I applied early action as well for Biology (pre-med track). @cappex

You have a great chance of getting in with that GPA and ACT. Not as selective of a school as you may think

Why are you worried? You’re more than qualified…

Your stats are a a match for Tualne, so congratulations. Please keep in mind, though, that the Tulane admissions counselors give great weight to how enthusiastic you are about attending. Each year they reject many applicants with very high stats because they are not convinced that the applicant is excited about the unique culture of New Orleans and the ongoing need to jump in and become part of the community and perform public service down there. They are also planning a somewhat smaller class next year due to an unforeseen uptick in yield and an unusually large class this year. If you are really interested, write the Why Tulane essay and write a special not to your admissions counselor explaining why Tulane is a top choice. Visit anew Orleans if you can. Best of luck!

For UMich LSA, your uwGPA is below admission average but your school profile report may help as your class rank is high. Your course rigor is good too. The problem is your below admission average ACT and OOS status. The OOS admission rate this year is 20%. This would make it a reach for you with both GPA and ACT below admission average from OOS.
