Chances at Various UC's

<p>First off, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to look this over.</p>

<p>GPA: 4.7 cumulatively weighted since freshman year
Junior GPA: 4.0 unweighted, 5.4 weighted (both semesters)</p>

<p>Senior Classes:
IB Spanish SL
AP Calculus BC
IB Biology HL2
IB English HL2
IB Visual Arts HL2
IB 20th Century World History</p>

<p>Junior Classes:
AP Spanish
AP Biology / IB Biology HL1
IB English HL1
IB Visual Arts HL1
IB History of the Americas
IB Math Studies SL (Pre-Calc)</p>

<p>^^ Pretty much hardest route, rank 2/550 in graduating class in GPA</p>

<p>AP's: US History 5, World History 5 (do I get brownie points for mentioning I did this Freshman year?), Biology 4, Spanish 3</p>

<p>AP's not taken yet but will take: Calculus BC, English Literature</p>

<p>International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Candidate: IB Math Studies SL - 6/7</p>

<p>SAT I: 720CR, 720 Writing, 690 Mathematics: 2130
SATII: US History (790), Biology (710), Literature (670), Math Level 2 (660), World History (650)</p>

<p>EC's: ~200 hours of community service: Emergency Room Volunteer, free tutoring, president of Arts and Ceramics Club (largest club at school - relevant?), tae-kwon-do, IB, WorldQuest (academic decathalon team), have creative art website (relevant? It's fairly extensive. Would it count if I sent the URL in my personal statement?</p>

<p>Challenges: None that are notable
Race: White/Korean (biracial)</p>

UC Irvine</p>

<p>Also:
Ivy Leagues (just so I can say I tried)

Johns Hopkins University</p>

<p>Long story short, you'te pretty much in at all the UC's. </p>

<p>On a side note, I fail to believe that you didn't know this already. Or, did you just want some reassurance?</p>

<p>I am so deathly stressed out; I just wanted a form of re-assurance. I've been reading these boards and all it does is deflate my confidence!</p>

<p>I am still a tad unsure on UCB and UCLA, and I know the privates can be reaches, or even nearly impossible.</p>

<p>Well, I would say that UCLA and UCB are matches for you, where as most of the other UCs are more of a safety. </p>

<p>Don't worry, you will do fine! Anyone who gets into any UC will be in very good hands academically! Good luck! ;)</p>

<p>P.S.: About this forum being deflating:</p>

<p>Getting accepted is usually easier than most people care to admit. In my opinion, it is so you won't go blaming to them * if * you don't get accepted.</p>
