Chances at Wake and UNC... please

top 10% out of around 110 students
gpa: 3.91 uw and 4.84 w
SAT: 700-math 540-reading:( 660-writing 11-essay
live in NC
Caucasian
taken 7 ap's and the rest honors
in a couple clubs (sadly no leadership positions)
varsity golf all 4 years
lots of awards and special recognition and stuff
honor roll all 4 years
250+ hours of community service
work experience
national honors society
national spanish honors society</p>

<p>chances at UNC-CH and Wake Forest???</p>

<p>Your math is great for Wake and UNC, but your CR is below the 25th percentile for both schools. UNC takes standardized tests highly into account. You have the good rank, course rigor, and GPA. Good community service, but no leadership positions. If you have a bunch of awards, it might help you out some, but your essays need to be great too! You’re in the running for both, but both are good, fairly selective schools. Maybe low reach at worst for UNC, high match at best. About the same for Wake, though it being private, there isn’t much of an in-state boost like UNC has. Good luck :)</p>

<p>whoops, i might have been unclear. i didnt have any leadership positions in the clubs i was involved in but i have a couple leadership postitions- varsity golf co-captain and a leadership position in Habitat for Humanity</p>

<p>Then your chances are even better if you have some leadership! I hope for your sake that you get into your dream schools-I can’t stop thinking about colleges now! lol</p>
