My essay topic is on relay 4 life and cancer as both my mom and brother had cancer throughout my high school years. And I will have amazing recommendation letters.

What do you think? Would applying be a waste of time? Or a possible reach.

i dont know man.. their average scores are above 1200 (1250-1400).. whats your hook?..
Tennis can be one.. are you captain? 1st singles?

well what's your school like? how prestigious is it? Is it public or private? And from which state are you coming from? From your SAT scores, GPA, course load and extras, I'd say this is a very, a let me emphasis VERY, hard match for you. But, it is not unreachable! Also, if your answers to all those questions boost your app and you achieve at least a 1200+ on your SAT, then you could increase your chances dramatically! (I have a friend who applied ED to Wake Forest and he had 3.3, 1260, 3 A.P.s and he got deferred, so anything can really happen. Wake Forest was a moderate reach for him.)

I go to a mediocre public school in California. However, we have the best AP program (really difficult classes, best teachers, highest passage rates) in our district. So our top students get into Berkeley, UCLA, USC, Cornell, Stanford, Pomona, UCSD, etc.

My main focuses are Relay 4 Life and Journalism. I definitely plan to write about these.
