Any insight on my chances at Wake?

I don't see a lot of AP, SAT could be higher, GPA and rank could hurt. I'm thinking 60% chance.

I'm taking the SAT again in October. I took Geometry right after I took the SAT in the spring, so I know I'll do better at the math section. I also was in the middle of my AP English at the time, so I may do better on the writing/reading as well.

The reason I've not taken any other APs is that my school offers very few AP classes. There's AP Calculus, but I haven't taken the math needed to be in there this year (English is my specialty to be honest). We have AP US History, but since I took US History Honors I can't take it. I didn't take it last year because it conflicted with my AP English. I didn't take AP Biology because it was at the same time the US History AP was... Then there's AP English 5, but they filled up before I was able to register (They register us alphabetically, and since I'm an S, well...). I could take AP Art. NOT! I'd be taking Stat/Prob AP this year, and I did apply, but the class filled up before I could register as well... And there's no Honors class here. UGH!!!

And my GPA will surely go up by the end of the semester. If you look at my annual GPAs...

9th grade: 2.7
10th grade: 3.6
11th grade: 3.9

I've been getting better every year, and if I do as well as I did last year I'm sure it will help my GPA considerably.

And won't my extracurriculars help at all?

Your situation is understandable; make sure that in the guidance counselor report he/she remarks that you have taken the most or a very rigorous courseload, when compared to all the advanced classes that are available. The SAT should be higher. The positive grade trend is very good, if you nail every single class with an A, this will make a great impression. With ECs, I'm not sure if they'll help immensely. I'm not very familiar with your school, but I don't see community service, sports, or employment. This could hurt a little. As it stands right now, I'd still put your chances at 60%. Maybe Ginnyvere can offer some better insight, but that's what I'm thinking.

Also, you might consider (seriously and genuinely) self-studying for an AP that you have taken as an honors course. I would, for example, give under try to the AP English exam you took. Maybe this will help strengthen your application and show that you have/are planning to overcome the low number of APs, etc.

Unfortunately, I don't have a whole lot to add to emsibdn's remarks. It'll probably look good that you're really involved in the clubs that you are involved in (quality over quantity and all that), but I'd definitely try to get the basic stats higher. Take the SAT again, and try and get your GPA/Rank up this semester and don't send your application in until after Christmas so that your transcript will reflect the higher rank (if you can do that. If I recall correctly, the application isn't due until mid-January). Also, if you're interested in doing ROTC while you're in college, it probably can't hurt to see if you can arrange an interview/phone conversation with whoever our ROTC person is.

ewww CAP, i was in CAP...i hated every moment of it. Its such a farse where i am, no leadership AT ALL.

Anyway, can you really report your ASVAB score...lol i got a 98 on it. The marines want me

I'm a teacher's aide for third block, all year. I do work in the book room (barcoding books, checking out books, delivering student IDs) as well as the library (checking in/out books, shelving books, etc.). Wouldn't this count as school/community service? And I'm on drill team, which around here is considered a sport. In fact, our drill team is the only thing that ever wins any trophies at my school (football was 2-10 last year lol).

better then 1-11 at my school!

but idk every1 still gets into it

Only the 'preppy puke' type people get into it around here. Even the players aren't that excited... :P
