Also I had an interview already and it went really well I believe, my essay and supplements have been edited and are said to be very well written and powerful.

I plan on applying ED in a matter of weeks so I would like some input thank you!

I think you have pretty good chances. Your gpa may be a bit low but the rest of your ec’s and course rigor should make up for that. And did you apply yet?

Just a friendly, general comment to everyone posting stats & replying to stats:

Comments on these threads such as “No, you don’t stand a chance” or “You are definitely getting in” can be very misleading and ultimately hurtful if things do not go well in the long run. Anything can happen with admissions. Please keep this in mind :)

PinkCupCake is correct…posters on this site have no inside knowledge of admissions chances. I remain amazed that there are posters with 31+ on ACT and great stats who are stressed and equally amazed at those who think a non-ivy school is a safety for them. Having been there done that…my best advice is to apply and relax. College admission is not an entirely merit based process. If an applicant has a 28+ on ACT, they have a seat at the table for a top college. A 31+ ACT is more competitive, but there are thousands of applicants with similar stats. As a parent, I can assure you that while we all may think our kids are the most unique and most deserving, there are many, many just like them. Most importantly, college admission is NOT a reflection of a child’s value and it will work out!

Congrats @Pellejeros! I got in about a month ago! Really exciting to know where we are going to college and I bet it’s going to be a great class. Go Deacs!

Congratulations pellejero! I am a junior in highschool and an aspiring deacon I will likely apply ED next year. I was wondering if you could answer some of my questions about your stats.
Ifyour weighted gpa was a 90 weighted, what was it unweighted? I’m just wondering because although I have a strong weighted gpa my unweighted GPA is quite weak.

Im tired of waiting for this letter!!! it’s killing me!!! I applied around the 27 of october and i know the website says 4-6 weeks, but I just want to know all ready!!! . How is is that some people hear back in 3 weeks and somebody else might hear back in 6? Does it have to do with the availability of your admission counselor? the strength of the application? I saw a couple of people on this thread and others that got in, but is there anyone else??? Rejected, deferred, or accepted? I just want to know how long it took!! Anybody!!! Or is there anyone else who applied and is still waiting in agony like me?

OMG I’ve been waiting too! I sent in my ed application on October 30th. Im guessing that ill hear by the end of the week or next week. I wonder if the thanksgiving break will extend the 4-6 weeks. Oh well! for now it’s just a waiting game :(
