I'm VERY involved in Debate, and will be going to the Wake tournament in September this year to compete, couldn't go this year because of the hurricanes down here. :( Anyway, Wake looks quite interesting to me, any idea if I can get in?

I'd say Wake is probably a match. Your course selection is moderately difficult, and your GPA is pretty good. You seem to be very involved in debate, which is definitely a plus. Do they not have a writing section on the PSAT anymore? If they do, what did you get on that section? 200+ would get you NM commended status. If you did well on the SAT, I think you have a very good chance. By the way, WAKE DOES NOT TAKE THE ACT!!!

I just kinda brushed through the Writing because as I said, I took the PSAT's this year as an AP Lang assignment and really didn't care, so I got a terrible score on it just pretty much christmas treeing it...but I'm sure I did alright this past Saturday on the real ones. Thanks for letting me know they don't take the ACT's, now I only have to send them to one extra school, yay, less money.

Any other opinions?

Right now, you're a match. I think you'll get a better picture of your chances when you get your SAT score back. I'm also tempted to say that those Cs you got in precal could hurt you. My junior year I got a C in AP US History (the toughest class offered at our school) but brought it up to a B the second semester (by quarter: C, C, B, A). I think that if you do very well this senior year (I notice you're not taking a "real" math) they might look over it.

Oh, no, I forgot to mention, brought the Pre-Calc up to a B second semester, and brought Physics up to an "A" second semester as well...hopefully the rising trend will help.

Any other opinions, I'll post my SAT and ACT scores when I get them in a week or so...

UPDATE:
1910 New SAT
