I would love to hear what you guys have to say about my application and I am open to suggestions on ways to improve my application.

Thanks

Anyone???

Wow. Your resume and ECs are awesome. Obviously, no one has “good shot” at any of the schools you have listed. They are all very competative schools, BUT I think you have as good a shot as anyone. Congrats! I hope you get into WashU!

Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking to hear haha.
Anyone else? Any other ways to improve my application?

Thanks

fantastic EC’s. very nice test scores/ACTs. Only thing left is to like competatively win something. competative religion ud own that hahaha just kidding but in all seriousness if you could enter a competition and win that would just be the icing on the cake. Very nice sir

The only school with which I’m really familiar is Cornell. I think you have a good shot; maybe work on your ACT score since that seems to be the easiest change to make? I would definitely play up your religion (I mean obviously you will since half your ECs have to do with it) because that sets you apart from all the thousands of other white males applying to Cornell…
The only thing is do you think you will be a good match at Cornell? Ithaca is one of the most liberal, hippie, athiestic towns in the country.

WashU I would say is a reach but applying ED should boost your chances. You have a good shot at Penn though.

chance me back?

Wash U: low reach
Penn+cornell: reach

have u thought of taking the SATs? idk if that will help
but to get into penn or cornell u need to win a big competition
or do something really unique

can u chance me too? thanks :]
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/735662-chance-me.html</a></p>

My SAT scores were much lower, highest was a 1950 so I’m not even bothering sending those.

Any suggestions for a competition or something unique?

I’m spending 3 weeks at Cornell this summer so that will give a good idea of how I like the smaller city atmosphere compared to STL.

Any word on no SAT2s hurting me?

like people mentioned before, most of these schools are luck of the draw.
that being said, your ECs and ACTs look pretty good.

as for no SAT IIs…it depends on what you want to study. a lot of times, future engineering students and others are required. if they have an SAT II in a subject that really captures your interest that you want to pursue, i would say knuckle down and take it. it can only help you, if you choose to submit a strong SAT II in a future area of study.

i love your essay idea. good luck on that and hope you get into your top school(s)

chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/712633-what-my-chances.html</a></p>

At Penn for Wharton at least, you have to take MathII, buy a Barron’s review book and take an SAT2 in that and a science maybe, if you can get high 700s, 800, i think you have a very good chance, especially at WUSTL especially ED, i would almost say its a definite, and Penn and Cornell, for Wharton is very tough, but you are a solid candidate, but i dont think Cornell should be much of an issue.

SAT’s? act’s?other than that i think the EC’s are pretty nice and solid.

Have you tried taking the SAT 1’s yet? a 32 ACT is solid but if you do better on the SAT you can always send that.

Anyways, onto the chances.

UPENN’s school of business (wharton I think it’s called) is near impossible to get into. You have close to a 0% chance there unless you really did something impressive. I think I read somewhere that 3% of applicants get into Wharton whereas 6% get into Princeton. That means 97 out of 100 get turned down!!! I’d say you’re in at Cornell. From my experience they especially like to see lots of community service. WashU should be a high match.

Thanks, I figured Penn would be really hard for me to get in.

I did take the SAT but I only had a 1310 and 1320/1950 so I’m not even sending those scores.

I am pretty sure that Penn requires you to send all scores, but they mainly focus on your highest.

Anyway,
Penn- reach (for everyone)
Cornell- low reach
WashU- match

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/735911-chance-georgia-peach-stanford-other-top-schools-i-chance-back.html</a> thanks!

Is there anyway that they can check and see if I took the SAT?

i think so

WashU perfect fit
Cornell verry low reach
Penn high reach (upenn wharton is like harvard in terms of admittance)

Washu is definately a match…you will b accepted there
Cornell- very, very low reach
Penn- Well I am guessing you going 4 wharton and thats harder than harvard acceptance… so that it a reach (it could happen though)

Thanks guys. If I am deferred WashU ED, Wharton was going to be my mega reach school. I am more reassured now that many of you think I will be accepted to WashU, and they superscore the ACT so I have a 34 them.

definately in at wash u; ec’s + grades look great
wharton is going to be difficult, but cornell shouldn’t be too much of a problem, i know people that got in with stats much worse than yours
