Hello all. So far in my college search, Wesleyan is my favorite school. Aside from that... I'm sort of at a loss. I love Brown from the summer program I did, but I know certain aspects (cough, ECs) of my application are lacking by Ivy League standards. My safety is Rutgers. I'm not sure what I'll major/minor in, but I'm interested in studying English, foreign languages, film, and psychology, if you can recommend some good match schools, I would really appreciate it. I've been searching for months, and it's just so hard to find the places that seem right. Looking to stay pretty much in the Northeast, at least 2,000 students (visited Swarthmore, did not like how tiny it was), and nothing rural... a small town or a large city or anything in between is ok... well...

Stats

NJ, female, extremely competitive public high school
GPA: Approx. 4.3 weighted, 3.8 unweighted. Junior year it was 4.6W
I don't know what my rank is (school stopped ranking), but my guidance counselor said I'm in the top 8% (about 460 kids)
SAT: 2200 (Math 680, CR 730, Writing 790), it was my first time... I will retake because I know I can improve
SAT II: Lit 750, US History 800 (should I take another? In a different area?)
AP U.S. History - 5. I'll have three more tests at the end of senior year. (At my school, AP US and AP English are split into two years. In the end I'll have taken 6 AP classes as far as my schedule goes, and almost all the rest are honors.)

Extracurricular activities:
Lighting & Sound crew (10, 11, 12) (big commitment, we work all the events at the high school)
Amnesty International (10, 11, 12); president's advisor & publicity

Portuguese, teaching myself (11, 12) (because I love languages & my mom is from Brazil)

Environmental Club (9, 10)

Academic honors:
National Honor Society
French Honor Society
Smith College Book Award
Livingston Board of Education Proclamation for Writing

Work/summer:
Summer 2004 assistant at a salon
Summer 2005 Brown University Pre-College program (3 weeks); Philosophy Through Film class; received very complimentary final evaluation from professor on my writing skills
Summer 2006 working at parents small business (a salon) every weekend into 2006-07 school year

I've also travelled a lot, if that matters (my mom has family and friends abroad, and my dad is obsessed with nature/scuba). Some people seem to mention that stuff, haha.
Oh, and I'll have two good recommendations, plus what I hope will be a really good essay.

Thanks for any input.
