Your SATs are a little on the low side, as are your ECs. Your courseload is also a little light, is there a small amount of available AP classes at your school?

I'd say your chances are less than average.

Does my work experience help my chances?
I have been working for a small business since 2002 and have been very involved in all aspects of the company.

Also, around what range would you guys expect my SAT's to be. I wasn't planning on retaking them but I am pretty confident that I could improve.

I'd say a strong Wharton applicant ought to have a 2200+ GPA (assuming his ECs and everything else are average to good) and I'd expect it with your high class rank.

However, you seem to have taken a small amount of AP courses. This would be perfectly fine if your school does not offer that many (like mine) but I'm wondering if this is the case. After all, your grade has 1006 people?!

Oh and I think your ECs are looking quite weak. Working in the office will help you but will not make up for your lack of involvement and leadership in school clubs/activities (excluding your FBLA experience).

Also your volunteering in the soup kitchen and political campaigns are pretty generic.

Stitch I know we aren't saying what you want to hear but you have to think like an HYP admit - Wharton is that tough. Just trying to be realistic.

Yea I realize that my EC's are pretty weak, I was hoping I could make it up in other categories. As far as AP's, my JHS went up to 9th grade so I couldn't take any in 9th grade, and when I was admitted into my high school they didn't tell us there were any AP's in the 10th grade. I would have taken more AP's junior year but I took a business course instead of AP Philosophy and I still had to finish up some requirements for my school.
