Selling Point (hopefully?):
I am a brain tumor survivor (had over 20 seizures and then brain surgery in 8th grade), which makes for a compelling essay. I've made teams for local Brain Tumor Walks the past 3 years, raising $5,150 total and this year, I took it upon myself to basically single-handedly organize a 5k for brain tumor research at my school. It was a huge success, with over 500 people attending and raising over $4,200.

So, hopefully I can get into Wharton with mediocre academics but a good story to tell. Not sure.

What do you guys think my chances are? Any tips on applying to Wharton? Should I apply to another school and try to transfer? What about getting into the Huntsman program?

Thanks!

help me guiz idk if I’ll make it

Chance me please

Btw I forgot my SAT 2’s: Math II was a 590 and Spanish 650. Those may be the killers. :/

Your math scores are a little weak, but it shouldn’t hurt too much because you’re going into business and not engineering or something. You have an incredibly unique story and still managed to get an awesome SAT/GPA despite having a tumor, which will give you a HUGE boost. Colleges (especially Ivies) love to hear about students who succeeded despite major obstacles, which is why they value things like 1st gen so much. If your essays are as great as you say, I think you have an excellent chance. Good Luck! :)

thanks! I hope so!

Do you have a compelling reason for why you should be admitted into Huntsman? You could probably position yourself better for M&T if you’re interested in bio

They actually specifically look at math scores for Wharton so I’d say your chances are pretty low. Actually, extremely low given that.

EDIT: Just clarifying. Math grades are probably the most important component to an application.

With math scores like that you unfortunatly have almost no chance a Wharton.
