chances at wharton UPenn? will chance people back if requested

<p>*I think I might have already posted this in a few other places but I'm not sure. . .this is my first day on the site. </p>

<p>I have a high school GPA of 4.2 weighted, 3.98 unweighted
My class rank is 14 out of 345
ACT composite=31
SAT composite=2130
SAT Math1=690
SAT Literature=700
SAT US History=700</p>

<p>I was commended as a national merit scholar for the PSAT and am a National Hispanic Scholar.</p>

<p>I have taken 5 AP classes out of the 7 offered at my school and got 4s and 5s</p>

<p>I volunteered 135 hours for a local Congressman and was then hired by him as a field representative.</p>

<p>My officer positions include: Olympus club class representative 10th grade, Olympus club treasurer 11th grade, FBLA vice president 11th grade, DECA vice president 11th grade.</p>

<p>The activities i was involved with include: AcDec, quiz bowl, FBLA, DECA, NHS, History Day, Model UN, Olympus, Stock Market Game, National Finance Challenge (3rd in state for 2 years), and National Economics Challenge (3rd in state for 2 years, 1st in state 1 year which put me at 35th in the nation).</p>

<p>Misc: I've visited Penn 3 times, am from a state that sends under 10 kids a year to Penn, and took math courses over the summer so I could take AP AB calc before graduation specifically because wharton wants kids to have calc.</p>

<p>Can you please tell me what you think my odds at getting in are on a scale of 1-10 and offer any advice you might have for areas of improvement? I will chance you back if you request it by the way</p>

<p>Your GPA is great, but SAT/ACT is rather low. You’d be better off submitting the SAT. Try retaking SAT IIs if you can. Your ECs look pretty good, and your economics challenges will look good.</p>

<p>Wharton is definitely a reach for you, but you do have a shot. 1-10 -> 5</p>

<p>i would say your odds are at 7 or 8
your sat 2’s arent in mid to high 700’s and math level 1 is seen as less than level 2, esp for ivies
your gpa and ec’s are fine
try raising your sat to 2200+ and maybe act, but overall i think its your commitment to business and how essays turn out that will get you in

<p>i agree with the above. it is def a reach for you. SAT and class rank will both hurt you.
Wharton basically looks for the top couple students of the class</p>

<p>I’ll say Penn Wharton is a high reach for you, especially regarding your standarized test scores.</p>
