chances at wheaton? (IL)

ive fallen in love with this college (havnt visited though) and i was just wondering if I have any chance at all, I dont think that my academics are quite up to par but i think i have really strong ECs, decent enough test scores, im really active in my church and wrote alot about my faith in their essay which i got the impression that they like alot. anyway

gpa: 3.4
rank: 41/80
sat: 1800
act: (will post score tommorow, I think i got around a 28)
ECs: varsity golf, captain of tennis team, in a leadership traning program, 7th grade mentor, VP of class, im in AP gov. and macroeconomics, theyre my first and only AP classes, flute lessons for 5 years, organize a bible study on saturdays, feed the homeless regularly, went on a mission trip to mexico to build a church last summer and am doing it again this summer, taught tennis over the summer and the summer before that had an internship, placed 2nd in solos & ensembles and made the all state band when I was in 7th grade (I didnt say what grade I was in for that, since I dont play for the school band anymore, i just put flute lessons) future problem solving (my teacher claims that colleges love this but ive never talked to anyone whose even heard of it, though I havnt asked any admissions officers) and an independent study class for future problem solving

and im not sure if its a hook or not but i wrote about my dad dying when I was in the 8th grade and my conviction for working in africa, any input is welcome.

scored a 28 on the multiple choice, im hoping for something around there with the essay

I found out i got a 28 on the multiple choice of the ACT, i think i got around there for the writing part too, also, i found out today that im actually the last person in the top half of the class, and my school also only reports the quarter your in, which should increase my chances greatly.

i hate to burst your bubble, but you probably dont have a very good shot. most people who get into wheaton are above 30 on the act, with 3.7+ GPAs. My best friend is terrifyed, and she is applying with a 31, 4.0 and a legacy. They get incredibly students who want to attend

meh, what about A&M?

yay, just found out enough people left from last year that im now 40/80 and my school only reports the quartile im in

They have a 26 - 31 ACT average, so, I think you have a decent shot there.
