Chances at Yale, Columbia, and Stanford

Why is ur weighted so low compared to ur unweighted (with ur unweighted being so awesome)?

U r simply amazing though, great work!

What will you be applying for as a major?

Excellent record. I would consider Rice in the universities, Harvey Mudd and Carleton vis a vis Reed.

Due to severe grade inflation by honors and AP classes, the school board decided to give only a half a point for honors and three quarters point for AP. They really don't weigh honors and AP a lot.

That's both good a bad. That sux for the kid that takes all APs and is ranked worse than the kid that just gets 100's in level ones. Great job tho - what about the "what major?" question?

I give the schools more credit than that (justifiably?). My limited LAC experience is that they do look at the course titles (AP or Honors or not) when they look at grades, and don't make decisions based solely on stated GPA. Where it can hurt is if a high school gives a ranking; if a student thinks s/he is being harmed by the ranking methodology, rank can usually be omitted.

Figgy: I plan to definitely major in math with perhaps a second major in either chem or physics, I haven't made up my mind yet though.

Do you have a profession in mind? I know it's way out there, but if you have a strong idea, it could make a difference on where you choose.

Hmmmmm......with stats like those.....

I am sure that your local community college will consider accepting you but it is a toss up.....

lol...is that enough "constructive criticism for you"
