Well, you have all the specs down pat (good GPA, good SAT Is and IIs, good ECs, CC courses in the major, etc.). The problem is you picked 3 of the 4 toughest film schools in the country to get into (NYU is the other one). Also, you didn't indicate if you had a "hook" for the schools in question. (know someone, did summer studies there, have a family legacy, etc.)

I'd say you are a match for these schools, but you have to realize that the competition will be fierce. Best of luck to you, and we'll look for your name on the "silver screen".

What I am worried about most is that I am also interested in medicine along with film. I spent a lot of time exploring this in HS at the cost of less time on my movie projects. How could I use my two interests to my benefit and show that I have accomplished and like both of them without seeming "too spread out"?

bumpity bumpkin

You mentioned on another recent post that you were a junior. It appears as if you are really a senior from this post.
The reality is that at a school like Yale it is very difficult to double major. The requirements for a single major are great let alone a double major. I think you could probably only double major there in film if your other major was not so intensive as pre-med. The reality is that you could probably go anywhere and get a great liberal arts education and do film for enjoyment. Several years ago a student with a great passion founded the ivy film festival at Brown. At every ivy league school if you are looking for that caliber, students are doing film projects. Then in graduate school you could concentrate in film. If you have time to concentrate in film undergrad great, but with pre-med it seems like it might be difficult. You could however be pre-med and take occassional courses in film.
I would go to the best school you could get into, and where you could continue your pre-med studies, and if they have film as an undergraduate, great, and if not, found a club there and do it for fun and concentrate on it later on.
