Do I have any chance if I apply to Yale or Georgetown early?

Yale looks for:
SAT-Verbal: 700-800
SAT-Math: 710-790
SAT-Writing: 710-800
ACT: 32-35
Therefore, Yale is most definitely a reach for you. Think of an amazing essay topic and hopefully that can push you over the edge.

Your ACT score is just under Georgetown’s expectations (29). Most people at Georgetown also have a 2070 SAT score. Your GPA also could be about one point higher.

Nothing is out of reach (high reach) really. Work hard and you can do it!

^I agree wholeheartedly. Yale is definitely a HIGH reach for you, but if you retake the SAT and get 700+ on each section, it’ll definitely help.

Yale is a big reach b/c of your ACT and GPA. And these things will also make Georgetown a reach. But it doesn’t hurt to apply, because you never know what could happen. good luck!:)

If you get your SAT up about 100 points you’d be very competitive at Georgetown, but Yale almost always looks for at least a 2200 on the SATs. You may still have a shot if. The admissions committee finds something they like about you though!
