Considering we are all waiting to find our results of early, I don't think you'll get an answer. The bottom line is no one knows who will get in and who won't.

Even less than that, I'd say. That's around the acceptance rate for the RD round in the first place, and I'd say (no offense) that he's below average as far as those who are accepted RD go.

Anyway, post this in the chances forum. They'll help you out.

Whoa, guys-- you've missed the classic "hook that equals admission"-- this is a case of major national recognition in ecs. That NY Youth Symphony Composition program is a huge deal. If you can get a supplementary rec from Chris Rouse, Steve Reich, or Sondheim, you'll have the music department falling over their feet to get you. Also, your other stats look good. You have a very very good shot. Send them a score or two. Very few applicants will have had pieces performed in Lincoln Center... Also, Yale really looks like a good place for you. The music department is great, and the graduate comp program, as I'm sure you know, is one of the best and most selective in the world. (That's why I'm applying there, too, although I haven't exactly met with your degree of success.)

very very true fiddle, yale simply LOVES to see people on a national stage but then again who doesn't? good luck windcloudultra and hopefully we'll meet at yale someday :D

I have no idea how you people come up with percentage chances for admission. Honestly, it's not like the admissions officers put marbles in a bag that represent you and everone else, and put in just enough so that you have exactly X% chance of being chosen.

Either you are good enough for Yale or you are not, there is no way to quantify your chances.
