Chances at Yale/UPenn/Cornell/Stanford RD?

Hey Guys!

I’m a student from india who is applying to Yale, Stanford, Cornell, UPenn, UMich, UIUC, UTAustin, Georgia Tech and Purdue. My intended major is Computer Science. What are my chances of getting in Regular Decision?

SAT II : 710 M2, 700 Physics
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0) : 3.83
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable) : Unofficial rank is 2/80 in CS

Senior Year Course Load : Chemisty, Physics, Math, CS, English

Extracurriculars, Community service and Work Experience:

Note that most of these were leadership positions and hence didn’t indicate separately.
I’ve been involved with all the activities for all 4 years of high school.
Total Community Service hours comes to 450 hours approx.

• Core Member of the team that built the only robot in the world that cleans beaches - featured on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s website and in over 25 different articles of National and Regional Newspapers, magazines, multiple radio shows and interviews.
• Asked to lead the Indian Robotics Team that was selected to represent the country at multiple robotics events across the globe – RoboGames (USA), First Tech Challenge (USA), Singapore Robotic Games (SINGAPORE), Bitva Robotov (RUSSIA) and the World FMB Championship (CHINA).

@Siddu2912 Stanford, Yale, Penn and Cornell will be tough with your SAT scores, but your strong ECs will help.

EDIT : I had plans on retaking the Subject Tests in December but two days before the exam i was diagnosed with dengue and spent the next week in the Intensive Care Unit. I mentioned it in the additional info section

UMich, UIUC, UTAustin, Georgia Tech and Purdue will be unaffordable for you. And I agree that your SAT’s are low for the others. But then I also think that it’s pointless to ask for chances to any college with a <10% acceptance rate, particularly for an international applicant. At this point, all you can do is put together the best application package possible and see what happens. Good luck.
