College Classes:
Calc - A

Are you able to calculate your UC GPA? Nonetheless, I'd say you are a low reach for both UCLA and CAL. Around 30-50% chance.

The weighted GPA is my UC GPA.

If 4.6 is your UC GPA, and your rank is high, then consider yourself a match for UCLA and Cal.

The avg UC gpa for UCLA and CAL was around 4.15-4.17

Yay! My school doesn't rank, but I know I'm in the top 10% (the most selective bracket). Do you think this is high enough?

Oh, my intended major is art history, if it makes much of a difference.

Thanks for your responses!

PS-Do you know the average SAT score? I've heard it's around a 2070. Do you think I'm still a match?

yes the average SAT score for UCLA the past year was around 2040, while berkeley was around 2060 or 2070. Yes you are definitely a match, considering your UC GPA is way above average.

definitely got a good shot at ucla, and good but not as good to cal

but i would say you will get in

thanks all for your replies! i sincerely appreciate the advice.

does anyone know which is generally viewed as better for art history?

your uc gpa is fully weighted. calculate your uc (capped) gpa that only assigns extra points for up to 8 semesters of AP/honors/college classes.

ucla/berkeley - slight reach (50%) (because the only thing that stands out is your gpa)

GPAx213, by 8 semesters do you mean 8 year-long classes or 8 semesters of classes (therefore only 4 year-long classes)?

If the former, my GPA is 4.44

If the latter, my GPA is 4.22

8 semesters, I believe..

Your EC’s and volunteering are a little low. Your SAT II scores should be at least 700 or above.

@PANGIE: She only listed her most important ECs, not every single thing she did.
Your GPA is great. However, both your SAT I and II could use quite a bit of work. Therefore, I would say that both UCLA and UCB would be high matches I suppose, since your standardized test scores are bringing you down.
