Mics:
I feel that my writing skills are strong and I am very confident in my essay.
I have the best ACT scores in my very competitive school.

Bottom line:
I do not know if I should apply EA or regular. BC is my first choice. Recommendations will come from the president of my school (principle, he rarely writes recommendations), English Teacher, and religion teacher.

I think that I can get my GPA to a 90 flat after the first semester, so I don't know if I should apply EA.

Thank you so much for looking!!

I would apply EA if its your first choice, it will show your dedication to the school. I think youve got a solid chance, too! Good luck!

If I could share one piece of advice to my fellow peers, it would be just that: to surround yourself with those better than you. And at Villanova University

Thanks, anyone else?

ill chance back

While not an admissions expert myself, I think you have solid chances considering your high scores and pretty solid scores. I too, am going to probably be applying to these three schools, so hopefully we’ll both be in Boston next fall.
(BC’s my first choice too)

i think that with your strong act and sat scores, along with your extremely tough grading scale that BC should be not very difficult for you to get into.

No issues at all getting into BC

If you haven’t already, go to the BC forum and ask for some insight; there are a number of people over there who will give you a fair assessment. That said, the prevailing feeling is that at BC at least, EA is a tougher admit than regular decision. Which makes makes sense since EA in non-binding; it stands to reason that a college will only admit those candidates that they would select regardless of their application timing. Any “borderline” candidates would be moved to the RD pool, wherein Admissions could get a better sense of where they fit in the overall pool.

You have strong standardized test scores, especially your ACT. The problem, and I hesitate to use that word, is your GPA: 89.1 translates to roughly a 3.45. That GPA is probably below the mid-point for BC, but I suspect your overall profile and the rigor of your high school should be enough to adjust for that.

So, in my opinion, BU is a safety/match, Northeastern a match, BC a match/low reach (but a little reachier if you go EA - I think there would be a chance that you might get deferred to the regular decision pool). In short, I think you’ll get into all three.
