<p>I’m a HS senior and I just finished up all my college apps, except one supplement thats not up yet. I’m incredibly nervous about getting accepted even though I know I should get in somewhere.</p>

<p>I’m applying to Boston U, Northeastern, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Albany, SUNY Stony Brook, Hofstra, and Cornell</p>

Location:: Long Island, NY (no financial aid lol)
School:: public; class size: 332
Parent Income:: $100,000 (they agreed to pay for all of it - they don’t want me in debt)
Parents:: Mom is a state employed psychiatrist; Dad is a retired military officer
Legacies:: none</p>

GPA:: W 4.88 ( school doesnt report uw)
Rank:: no ranking, top 15 definitely though
SAT I :: 1440/2050 (not retaking)
ACT + Writing:: 31 (not retaking)
SAT IIs:: reporting 720 Chem, 710 US
Classes:: most rigorous available
3 years of French, 1 of Latin, Latin II got cut
8th-9th - AP World I&II (4 on exam)
10th - AP Euro (4 on exam)
11th - AP Bio (5 on exam), AP Comp (3 on exam), AP US (4 on exam)
12th - taking AP Chem, AP Lit, AP Govt/Econ, AP Calc AB - BC was cut this year, AP Art Portfolio ( as if this one matters)
All others are honors
4 years of Independent Science Research - I get a grade so I guess its a class, but we elect officers and only meet once a week. We enter science contests and write science papers and such.</p>

<p>Essays:: mostly talk about personal growth in HS, family, and my love for science/math and art (well-roundedness?) I had 3 english teachers and my GC look them over.</p>

<p>Recs:: traditional GC, science research advisor, latin/lit mag advisor - they know me pretty well; they should be good</p>

<p>Intended major is biochemistry, pre-med (looking for a relatively cheaper undergrad so I can spend real money on med school - but it isn’t a requirement)</p>

<p>From, I’d say that all of them are either matches or safeties, except Cornell which is a reach for anyone. </p>

<p>Btw, were you in the Andromeda division this past year (2011)? I was at the NY State and Engineering fair too, didn’t place lol but that’s pretty cool! Congrats :-)</p>
