You GPA seems to be dropping a bit considering you had perfect GPA fresh and soph yrs. Is there a reason for this?

Meh, 1/2 of Junior year is a little sketchy to work with, but I would say no right now. If you can pull up grades and SAT dramatically, I would say yes. You have time to do these things but will you?

^^^retotical question. I really don't care if you do; it's like an insperational thing. I'll leave now.

Someone evaluate my chances at Brown....

Am I just too optimistic or am I just a complete idiot by thinking I might even have a modicum of a chance of getting into Brown? Am I better off transferring into Brown later?

I have a 3.6 GPA, predicting mid- to high- 2100's on the SAT, 630 Bio-E, predicting like close to 800 US History and French, recommendations will likely be glowing, essay will be probably pretty good (no excuse for turning in a bad admissions essay), my extracurriculars: Amnesty Int'l, JSA, Environmental Club, Symposium.

BTW, I'm still a junior. By the end of the yr, I'll have taken 2 AP's and 5 honors. I'm planning to take 4-5 AP's senior year as well. I go to a pretty well-regarded private school in CA.

I've had my own thread for awhile and some people were suggesting that I get my SAT in the 2300 range and apply to Columbia or Penn, though that seems preposterous to me.

ihateCA: If you make your own thread instead of posting in mine, you'll get more responses.

I'm sorry.

It's fine! For what it's worth, I think you definitely have a chance .. but we have the same problem: low GPA. x.x
