<p>i know they're reaches. i'm fine with going to ut, but if i have a chance at any of these places i'd sure like to know.</p>

<p>You should ED/EA at the one you like the most , as it will help your chances. Also, if you are a URM, I'd check the box as it will help you too. Chances would be Okay to Good. Again, that is (checking your race/ethnicity) a personal choice.</p>

<p>I would put down your ethenticity, because it plays a minute role when there is a virtual tie. They will usually allow underrepresented minorities in first.</p>

<p>Are you guys kidding me??? He has a great shot at every one of these schools. </p>

<p>The fact that he has great stats, is hispanic, and from an area that most colleges would feel adds to their geographic diversity indeed puts the odds in his favor. </p>

<p>Some of you here might be trying to dissuade him from applying since he is such a competitive applicant...:)</p>

<p>I agree. I think you're a solid applicant. Now I don't know if most of these people are high school students or college students or maybe I'm naive about the entire process but your race and stats will play REALLY well. Not to sound racist but most Hispanics not tend to do well on academics stuff but you obviously did so colleges will love your cultural diversity and this whole thing about "overcoming obstacles" some college advisors put out</p>

<p>You look like a pretty good applicant but why are you withholding your race. I have a friend who's last name is hispanic but he is actually from the phillipines. If so then witholding your race is a good idea.</p>
