My dream school is Stanford; What schools do i have a chance for? What do i need to work on? What more things do I need to have?

I'm probably applying for: Stanford, Rice, Washington U in St. Louis, Boston Univeristy, UT Austin, UC Berkley

Where else should I apply? and do i stand a chance for the ones i listed?

· National Honor Roll Inductee
· Who’s who Among High School students award

Dont use these EVER! NEVER! NOWHERE! They are a scam (honor roll) or everyone gets them(whos who.) Dont feel special, lol. Just drop these, they arent awards. :)

That is funny. I wondered why everyone had those awards...even the dumb people who didnt do anything.:)

haha i got that 2nd award just for sending Key Club my 20 bucks

ye, it said key club on mine too...really...its bull....i felt special, at first, but then i went and researched and found that national honor roll is a load of s h i t while the whos who is legitimate, its nothing to feel great about since they claim anyone who has a B+ or better gets it...thats a low grade in my opinion.

true true. VERY LOW! haha

You have great stats. But what do you plan to major in? What are your areas of interest? I see piano a lot...... You cant choose schools just like that. You have to know why....academics, etc. You really dont need anything else, i think ur just the typical over-achiever...like me. :)

maybe bio or piano performance. They are all good schools if i want to do both, though.

I really cant help you though; i know Northeastern schools much better than Cali and the south.

What about princeton, colombia, yale, or duke?

and of course, brown

Yale...for biology....isnt great. Thats more that social sciences like English, law, history, etc. Duke is all-around great. I personally dont want North Carolina so its not for me at all. Its a very sport-oriented school too. Sporting is very important to them. Columbia, which i see all the time here in NYC is good for the sciences. They are usually very picky with admissions though. Their admittance rate is i think the lowest of all the ivy's except harvard. Princeton is getting better with the sciences. They have this new initiative to expand their focus on medicine. Princeton is too elite for me, i dont like elitist schools like harvy, prince and yale. Thats why i chose cornell as my dream skool.

o and brown, well thats on my own list. Brown is better for humanities than science though Brown and Cornell in my opinion are the best. I like brown. Its good for biology too. It has a weird system though....theres no curriculum...and u get to pick everything urself and there are no requirements and u can have the option of taking no math classes or no history classes at all...and focus on one area like science or english. thats not my preferred educational experience so Brown may come off my list. But i dunno about you. Its all about what you want. You seem like you just started thinking about college 5 minutes ago, lol. you have to do research! thats the only way to narrow down! i started with 34 schools, im down to 15 now, and trying to make it 10. I eliminated like upto 20 by researching alone. Then, i joined CC in late april and ppl here helped me further eliminate and establish and realize my priorities when it comes to wat college suits me. you should do the same.

what are you majoring in?

Most likely in the sciences--medicine related....biological sciences
