I actually have very similar stats and im applying to cornell and upenn. for our sake, i hope its enough to get us in. however, looking at this from a neutral perspective makes me question how strong your EC’s are. For reach schools like columbia, cornell, and penn, every little bit matters so your EC’s might give you a disadvantage since there arent that many and they sound pretty standard (minus the bit about writing for the mets). your test scores look fine, your gpa is a little low for the ivies but a 4.0 isnt everything so that shouldnt impact your chances tremendously. two things that could go either way for you are your mid-year report (youre taking rigorous classes so if you get A’s, thatd be great) and whether or not you require financial aid for the ivies. the way i understand it, the ivies want to promote inclusion and diversity so they pay close attention to applicants whos parents have an income of 50K or less, or if their parents are divorced, or any of that jazz. in conclusion, the ivies are a reach for everyone so best of luck there. johns hopkins doesnt really give financial aid so they will look solely at your grades, scores and EC’s. and UNC is probably a good bet

Hey there! I’m applying to a lot of these schools too and I think your stats look pretty good
UNC Chapel Hill - as an OOS student, I’m not sure about your chances. You may get accepted or deferred since UNC has a quota for in state
I think you have a good chance of getting accepted at any of these schools and you shouldn’t worry too much, you’ll get into at least one of them. Your GPA does fall short of the 4.0 for the Ivies, but a 4.0 isn’t everything especially with your stellar test scores and your extracurriculars.
