Freshman Year - all A's : 3 honors classes, 2 on-level classes (my school didn't offer any more honors classes)
Sophomore Year - I took AP AB Calculus in 1 semester and Honors Pre Calc in 1 semester and got B's in both, AP Psych - A's both semester, but a B because of the final exam, AP Environmental Science (A 1st semester; B 2nd semester), 2B's in 2 other AP's, both semesters.
I go to an Early College school and I plan to take 4 college courses each semester. I transferred to my current school this year and took a too heavy course load. I've been told junior and senior year are very easy, so I'm likely to get all A's again.

SAT~ 2250
ACT: 35

If it helps, I have a legacy at Columbia.

extracurriculars: fundraiser leader: raised over $500 for literacy this year, writer for a few online publications, published poet in a few small magazines, a few small math competitions, mock trial 2nd place state, i play uke, science olympiad state finalist, hosa state 1st place,

I'm out of state for all of these colleges, if it helps.
And I'm an Half- Asian female.

I'll chance you back, if you'd like.

I’m guessing that you’re half-Asian and half-white?

What’s your GPA, both W and UW?

Yup! It’s around a ~3.6 right now, but it’ll probably around 3.75 by college admissions season
weighted is ~4.7

Columbia, Chicago, and Penn are reaches (but definitely reachable for you). You’re in at UCLA, provided your GPA is >3.9 UW.

Your EC’s are OK, your scores are good, but your GPA will kill you. All reaches as it is.

Can you pay full-freight at an UC?

Berkeley: Match
UCLA: Match
Columbia: Reach
UPenn: Reach
U Chicago: Reach (pay attention to your essays)

Berkley doesn’t have EA, but would you suggest that I apply EA at Columbia, UPenn, or UChicago? I like Columbia and UChicago best, but Penn has a high EA acceptance rate. I think I’d write a pretty good essay, since I already have a few topics in mind.

I don’t know how this will affect my chances, but I had a minor case of depression my sophmore year, which may have contributed to my bad grades.

I have no idea if this will come off as messed up, but you should write about your depression in your essays. Most colleges use their essays to see what kind of person you are, sorta like an indirect interview. And how you went through your depression could serve as a story of going through struggles.

If I were you, I would just send in your ACT score, not your SAT.

The UCs would be a match, you’ll have a fine chance of getting in.
The other schools would be reaches, but not a high reach. Just improve on some areas and you write a fantastic essay and you should be fine
