Chances Cornell ED

<p>Hey guys I was just wondering what my chances at Cornell ED for school of engineering would be? I go to a very competitive high school in California. I'm an Asian Indian</p>

GPA (UW) -3.81 (school does not weight)

Math - 770
CR- 780
Writing - 750
Sat II
Math - 800
Chem - 780
Bio - 760</p>

<p>AP tests

Stats - 5
Us history - 5
Environmental science - 5
Human geography - 5</p>

<p>Junior year courses: AP BIO, AP STATS, AP US HISTORY, Honors Precalc, Honors English 11, Digital Imaging
Senior year courses: AP CALC BC, AP PHYSICS B, AP ENGLISH LIT, Finite/Discrete math, Econ/Government, Journalism </p>

<p>Extra curriculars:
Interned Stanford for two summers (not a program you pay to get in)
Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do
Cross Country, JV 3 years, Varsity 1 years
Track, JV 2 years, Varsity 2 years
Students Recycling Used Technology regional Quiz bowl - 1st place
Interned at my fathers company for past 4 years doing IT work
Helped organize and volunteered in Local community "walk" fundraiser raised over 6k for local schools
National Merit Scholar
AP Scholar with Distinction
Volunteered at Kaiser hospital
Tech Manager of School newspaper </p>

+ one extra recommendation from a professor at Stanford I worked with </p>

<p>So what do you guys think?</p>

<p>The GPA seems a little low, I would say Cornell is a low reach for you, not to mention your ECs aren’t the best. I’m really into Cornell too, if you feel like it you can check out my chances thread.</p>

<p>I agree with tjkid, your GPA is a little on the low side for any ivy league school. As he said EC’s are kinda weak especially the internship at your dad’s company unless you have a paper or something to prove you actually did something. If your school is as hard as you say it is, then you might have a chance, probably higher than what tjkid said, reach to low reach. Your courses in junior year don’t show that your challenging yourself unless thats the max # of AP’s you can take. Hope this helps!</p>
