No legacy or affirmative action. Family isn't rich enough to buy my way in anywhere.

Would mostly like some chances for Cornell. Suggestions on schools with good history/politics programs would be appreciated too. Info on UK schools would be helpful as well!

Average (for Cornell) SATs + no special ECs or hooks + too rich to be considered "disadvantaged" yet too poor to buy your way in = high reach.

I kindof have to agree with Darcy =\
But you can always improve next yr!

Personally I think you have a good shot at Cornell. Your stats are significantly better than several international students we had apply and be accepted from my school (though Cornell does seem to like our school). If you believe that you are really set on Cornell then consider applying ED. Check on the official results thread in the Cornell forum for a stats check.

Finally... history/politics - screams Georgetown to me, and looks like you would have a good chance. Furthermore you could also investigate several other schools ranked even higher than Cornell as high reaches.

UK schools are more interested in the academics, and some require a set amount of APs. You would need to take quite a few more for its topmost universities (any Oxford or Cambridge college), and you had better be sure that you want politics or history, because switching majors there is almost impossible.

You have good chances at Cornell (I don't see how it's a big reach...)

I'd say your a match
