Hi, I am appplying regular decision and I was wondering if I sent Cornell 2 ACT scores would they take the best from each subscore and get a new composite like they do for the SATs or No?
Thank you
A: Completely false. The Cornell suicide rate is below the national average for college-aged students. This rumor is probably propagated because of the many beautiful gorges on campus. Itās more dramatic to say that somebody jumped off a bridge than if they killed themself some other way. The highest suicide rate belongs to another top school, though not an Ivy.
Funny reply.Esp in The highest suicide rate belongs to another top school, though not an Ivy.
Re: Mix n Match?
Yes, Cornell will take the best of each section on both the SAT and ACT and combine to give you the best possible score
There is only so much space available in each major, so the more that apply the more selective it becomes. simple math
Contract (state supported) schools at Cornell are NOT SUNY schools. There is a significant differnce in tuition for NYS residents at a Contract college at Cornell $20,000 vs. $35,000 for Endowed (private) schools or non-NYS residents. $15,000 savings is nothing to complain about, for sure!
Psychology or philosophy? Does anyone know how much work either of these require?
My interviewer told me how the whole suicide rumor started. About 20 years ago, a documentary was made about suicide rates among college students, and it was filmed on the campus of Cornell University. Because of that, people have assumed that the documentary wouldnāt have been filmed on a campus where the suicide rate wasnāt high (which is false). She also said that all throughout the campus there are huge gorges which drunk students casually fall into.
LOL
But would Cornell be the best ivy league to commit suicide at?
OF COURSE IT WOULD^^^
What better place to kill yourself than near a beautiful waterfall and gorges that are amazing? Think of the water flowing pass you as you bleed excessively on the floor. The leaves as green as can be and the sun shining brightly above your corpse. Birds would fly by and sing songs of merry and cheer. OH GOD thinking about it makes me all warm inside!!
I REALLY HOPE I GET IN!!!
^ HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! i hear ya

The Department of CS is affiliated with both. It just means you can major in the same thing in both colleges.
So the academics are great, and the workload isnāt ridiculous, but what is the social life like? I hear itās in the middle of nowhere.
Hi everyone, I have a question hereā¦
How do you guys submit an additional rec from a prof outside of your high school? Can we use the āSchool Formsā even though itās outside of school? It is not convenient to ask a mail to send to a few schools.
Thanks
