@luke888. your gpa is quite limiting . The sat is very low especially math score since you are applying Engineering.

Your chances are very low,

^lol since when is 730 for math low? I’d say your in good shape for the csu’s, although obispo is a reach. As for the UC’s, I would say that you’re a high match/low reach for some, but considering you’re trying to go in for engineering, it may be tougher. Good luck!

PS: Cal Poly Pomona is recognized for its engineering, so that’s a tough one as well

Reach: UC Berkeley, UCSD
High match: UCSB, UC Davis, SLO, Cal Poly Pomona
Match: UCI, CSULB, SJSU, SDSU

UCB/UCSD: Reach
UCSB/UCI/UCD/SLO: Low Reach
SDSU/SJSU: Match/High Match
CPP/CSULB/CSUF: Match/Low Match

Your GPA is hurting your chances for Engineering. If you had a 4.0+ GPA with your current SAT, UCI and possibly UCSB would be Matches.

Yeah engineering is getting very competitive to get into. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. That being said, I believe you have a shot at some Cal States.

i got all 5’s though and all A’s in physics and calc. My high school is also highly ranked and competitive, does that help any?

UCI is more selective than UCSB.
