Extra
I have written a novel and am currently trying to get it published. I have contacted a few agents and so far one has gotten back to me

*my father is an alum, i don't know how much weight that carries though, and i would be applying early decision. I'm intending to major in English, with a concentration in creative writing

Letter of Rec: should be good, i'm close with my english teachers and my guidance counselor

Essay: I'm a good writter so it should be good, but i was wondering about the content. I have suffered through an eating disorder that has made me depressed for four years. Is this something I should write about, or is it not appropriate for the essay? I feel like how I overcame it would be a great message, but i'm not sure how the admissions office would react.
