ECs:
Marching and Concert Band for all 4 years, and the first 3 years I moved from the lowest band to the top band
National Honor Society
SHINE Catholic Work Camp in the summers btwn my freshman/soph years and soph/junior years (it lasted a week and we fixed people’s houses up, went to homeless shelters, etc.)
Cross Country my freshman year, which I had to quit because of band (6:00 am cc and 3-5:30 pm band do not mix) BUT i was immediately put on varsity and I plan to do it in college.
Track my sophomore year, only JV though. idk whether to put on app or not, but i really did miss running…
Volunteer work with church and also at stables for disabled/risk at youth

no leadership. yeah, i know it sucks, but i’m one of those introverted, naturally shy people who cannot stand speaking in front of a group… and i lead more by example than by fulfilling the obligations of having a title, anyway (might mention that somewhere)

thank you!

bumpity bump. i need some feedback....

Chances= Quite good I think - do you want to be in the marching band at BC?

maybe. dunno yet. i'm torn between band and cross country

are you being recruited by cross country there? because the ACC is a huge D-1 conference, and i think band is a little more lenient for "walk-ons" lol....but, then again, you could be going there on a full xc scholarship...just curious :)

I think you're in if you write a great essay. But just fyi, EVERYONE thinks their essay is exceptional. Good luck.

just as far as sat scores and gpa go, where does a score of 660CR, 710M, 800W (2170 combined) and a 3.9 GPA unweighted put me in the early action pool? thanks.

no offense, there's no way you're going to be able to run for BC having only run freshman year ( I ran all three seasons throughout HS, so i know a bit on it). but they have a pretty sweet running club (which i want to do if i get in), and there's a club for the boston marathon. you get a sponsor and then don't have to qualify for the \marathon, you get right in.
