Chances - Dartmouth ED

Hey guys, I've never been on this before but I've been stressing about my impending decision from Dartmouth and wanted some input from the outside world.
Admittedly, my GPA is on the lower end of what Dartmouth usually accepts, but I am very involved in my extracurriculars and I have a solid application/essay. My mother attended Dartmouth, but I am not sure to what extent they care about legacy.
I'd really appreciate any sort of comments. Thanks!

If you didn’t have legacy I would say Dartmouth should be considered a reach school for you, however since you DO have legacy, your chances will definitely improve for sure! And have no fear, if you are not accepted early, Dartmouth defers the early decision candidates so your application will get a 2nd reading. Best of luck though!

yeah i hear that they take legacies pretty seriously hehe so it’s good for u hehe

you have mediocre test scores. you have a 50% shot at Dartmouth, and a 65% shot at George Town and Notre Dame. Maybe 85/90 everywhere else. If you get good essays, youll be fine.

By the way, in case any of you were wondering, I did get into Dartmouth (in addition to Fordham, Notre Dame). I withdrew my applications from Georgetown and UNC before they sent me a decision because I got into Dartmouth early decision, so I’m definitely going!
I’m a happy camper!

Yeah, anyone who considers a 790 CR, 790 M, and a 700 W mediocre is crazy! Plus you only had to submit your top 2-3 SAT scores right? Congrats!
